On May 21-22, 2026, the International Scientific Conference "Methodology and Technology of Modern Philosophical Cognition" was held on the Zoom platform, organized by the Department of Philosophical and Sociological Studies and Sociocultural Practices. Before the Days of Science, the Department of Philosophical and Sociological Studies and Sociocultural Practices held a number of events, open lectures, seminars and other scientific collaborations, which logically ended with the International Conference.
The conference was opened by the rector of the State Institution "South Ukrainian National University named after K.D. Ushynsky", Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Andrii Krasnozhon. Greetings were delivered by the Vice-Rector for Scientific Work, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Hanna Muzychenko, Director of the Institute of Gifted Children of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, Professor Maksym Galchenko.
Head of the Department of Philosophical and Sociological Studies and Sociocultural Practices, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Yevhen Borinshtein noted the continuity of the department's ideologies, its significant contribution to the scientific development of Ushynsky University, Ukrainian society, and the immutability of moral values. The Plenary Session featured interesting reports by: Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, member of the Ukrainian Association of Researchers of European Values in Education (AREVE), Visiting Professor at the University of Udine, Italy Natalia Kochubei “Intercultural Competence and Social Inclusion in Overcoming Barriers of Forced Emigration”; Doctor of Philosophy, Professor of the Department of Philosophy of the National University “Odesa Law Academy” Oleksandr Yeremenko “Philosophical Combinatorics as a Method of Philosophical Cognition”; Doctor of Philosophy, Professor of the Department of Management and Innovative Technologies of Socio-Cultural Activities of the Mykhailo Drahomanov Ukrainian State University, Academician of the UN Academy of Informatization Iryna Yershova-Babenko "Transdisciplinarity and Conceptualization of Nonlinear Research - Methodology of Modern Philosophical Cognition"; Head of the Department of Sociology and Social Work of the Moldovan State University, Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology Anastasia Ocheretna "The Role of Sociological Knowledge in Modern Cognition" and other scientists.
The conference was attended by students of the 1st-4th year of the Department of Sociology "Management of Socio-Cultural Activities", masters of the Department of Philosophy of the Department of Philosophy of the Department of Philosophy and Sociological Studies and Socio-Cultural Practices of Ushynsky University, students, masters, and postgraduates of other universities. They actively participated in discussions and delivered interesting reports at the sections. The scientists particularly noted the speeches of: Valeria Lyubarska, a student of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, “Clip Thinking in the Modern World: Degradation or Adaptation”; Diana Tsilyna, a 3rd year student majoring in “Management of Socio-Cultural Activities” of the National University “Chernihiv Collegium” named after T. G. Shevchenko, “Show Business Manager: Specifics of Professional Activity at the Intersection of Art and Commerce”; Sofia Kanevska, a 1st year student majoring in “Management of Socio-Cultural Activities” of the State Institution “South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky” “Transformation of Intercultural Communication in the Conditions of a Digital Society”.
The conference was held in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
