On May 22, the VI All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists “CONTEMPORARY CHALLENGES OF SOCIO-POLITICAL DEVELOPMENT: POLITICAL-LEGAL AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC DIMENSIONS” was held. The conference brought together diplomats, scientific and pedagogical workers: political scientists, psychologists, philosophers, economists and young scientists from leading universities of Ukraine.
The conference consisted of two platforms: the Platform of State Stability and Advocacy of Ukraine’s Interests in the International Arena and the Platform of Innovative Potential of Young Scientists in Post-War Reconstruction.
The Rector of Ushynsky University, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Andriy KRASNOZHON, addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech, noting the importance of preserving university science, supporting higher education and developing the creative potential of young scientists.
The conference was attended by honored guests: Doctor, Candidate of Political Sciences, diplomat, wife of the Consul General of Ukraine in Istanbul, member of the Association of Spouses of Ukrainian Diplomats Lyudmila NEDILSKA and head of the volunteer initiative of diplomats' wives "Ukrainian House in Kazakhstan", member of the Scientific Society of the History of Diplomacy and International Relations, director of the School of Business Ethics and Etiquette, diplomat's wife Olha NAKONECHNA. They spoke about cultural and educational diplomacy, about humanitarian initiatives of diplomats' spouses and about the transformation of educational and cultural issues into important components of international relations. The honored guests were real mentors of young scientists, passed on their unique experience of serving the Motherland.
The reports of the conference participants were devoted to the current problems of the development of the modern Ukrainian state, modernization of the economic system and legal support of democratic transformations, development of civil society, European integration, psychological stability during the period of social transformations. In the context of the transformation of the world system, states act more adaptively, therefore the role of information, culture, ideology, diplomacy, that is, the instruments of the state's soft power, is increasing. Accordingly, the role of cultural and educational diplomacy is increasing, as noted by young scientists.
The conference was held constructively, in a creative and pleasant atmosphere. Young scientists presented interesting reports, considered important scientific and topical political problems. The reports of young scientists and students are saturated with creativity, deep analysis of the proposed topics, projects of post-war reconstruction and the role of scientists in the promising development of the modern Ukrainian state.
