On the occasion of the celebration of Science Day, an interuniversity methodological seminar "Comparative Approach in Scientific Research" was held on May 26 at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Musical and Performing Arts and Socio-Cultural Practices.

The seminar participants were scientists from the following higher education institutions:

South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky;

Vinnytsia Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi State Pedagogical University. Department of Music and Performing Arts;

Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko;

Hryhorii Skovoroda University in Pereyaslav;

T.H. Shevchenko National University "Chernihiv Collegium";

Uman National University

The seminar participants were both scientists and postgraduate students of higher education institutions.

The methodological seminar was held after an open lecture by A.A. Zbrueva, Professor, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after                                            A.S. Makarenko. The professor was the speaker of the methodological seminar.

The topic of the seminar turned out to be very relevant in the context of the European integration strategy for the development of Ukrainian education. In the field of art education, certain Ukrainian HEIs study students and postgraduates from China, which also makes the problem of using a comparative approach relevant.

The content and form of such research were discussed, the possibility of combining experimental methods with a comparative approach.
