Students of Ushynsky University joined the PORT literary festival

On September 5–6, the PORT literary festival took place in Odesa, a large-scale cultural event that brought together writers, readers, artists, and everyone interested in contemporary Ukrainian literature. This year, the festival was held under the focal theme “Stones on the Coast,” which became a space for conversations about memory, resilience, the experience of loss, and what remains after the waves of time and history.

The students from Ushynsky University also joined the festival. Students from the Faculty of History and Philology and students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages became part of this cultural event. Some of them joined the PORT volunteer team, helping the organizers, meeting guests, and supporting the festival events, while others attended the festival as participants and guests.

Together with the students, Candidate of Philological Sciences Kerdivar Natalya Ivanivna and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Horina Zhanna Dmytrivna attended the festival. The teachers supported the students in their participation and joined this important cultural event with them.

For our students, participation in the festival was an opportunity to gain new experience, work in a team, communicate with interesting people, discover modern Ukrainian literature and see from the inside how a large-scale cultural event is created.

We sincerely thank the team of the PORT literary festival and Vyshyvanka Festival” Public Organization for the opportunity to join this event. Special thanks to the program director of the festival, Andrii Khayetsky, and the entire PORT team for their trust, openness, and the opportunity for students to be active participants in the cultural life of Odesa.

Ushynsky University supports student initiatives and opportunities that help young people develop, gain practical experience, and be an active part of the cultural and public life of the city.
