In September–October 2026, Ushнnsky University will host CHESNO.Fest - a festival of academic integrity, which will unite students, postgraduates, scientific and pedagogical staff and university specialists around the culture of honest learning, teaching and research.
CHESNO.Fest is about principles that should become daily academic practice:
create honestly
use ethically
work independently
cite properly
think originally.
Among the planned events, thematic meetings will be held:
09/10/2026 - for masters: "From the source to the qualification work: the integrity of the master's student";
09/17/2026 - for bachelors: "Honest start: academic integrity from the first year";
09/23/2026 - for scientific and pedagogical workers: "Academic integrity 2026: new rules for teachers and researchers";
09/30/2026 - master class for administrators of the StrikePlagiarism system "Processing similarity reports";
10/01/2026 - for postgraduate students: "Honest research: from scientific idea to defense".
During the meetings, we will talk about working with sources and repositories, citation rules, academic plagiarism and self-plagiarism, the use and declaration of artificial intelligence, checking academic texts, analyzing similarity reports, authorship, responsibility for violating academic integrity, and new legislative requirements.
Festival speakers: Hanna Muzychenko, Vice-Rector for Research; Olena Soloveichuk, Head of the Academic Integrity Promotion Group; Natalia Kerdivar, Head of the Academic Research Service; Yevgenia Radeva, Head of the Scientific Society of Students, Postgraduate Students, Doctoral Students, and Young Scientists.
The festival is held at the initiative of the Academic Integrity Promotion Group of Ushynsky University, with the support of the Academic Research Service, the library, and the Scientific Society of Students, Postgraduate Students, Doctoral Students, and Young Scientists.
The format is online.
