On April 20–21, 2026, the IV All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation “Theory and Practice of Literary Text Analysis: Modern Vectors of Research” was held, dedicated to current problems of higher education.
The organizers of the event were the Department of Ukrainian and Foreign Literature of Ushynsky South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky and the Department of Literary Studies and Oriental Philology of the Taras Shevchenko Luhansk National University. The conference was held on the Microsoft Teams platform, which ensured the participation of a wide range of scientists from different regions of Ukraine and abroad.
The participants were welcomed by the rector of Ushynsky University, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Andriy Vasylovych Krasnozhon, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Hanna Vyacheslavivna Muzychenko, as well as the dean of the Faculty of History and Philology, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Olena Oleksandrivna Kon.
The plenary session brought together leading scientists, doctors and professors from various higher education institutions of Ukraine, in particular the Taras Shevchenko Luhansk National University, Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, Odesa National Maritime University. Representatives of other countries also joined the discussion, in particular scientists from the Alecu Russo Balti State University (Republic of Moldova).
The conference featured diverse sections covering key areas of modern philological research, including: current problems of modern scientific research; genre and gender aspects of artistic discourse; narrative strategies of artistic text; poetic and axiological component of a work of art; linguistic dimensions of literary texts; methodological aspects of the study of language and literature.
The sectional meetings presented reports by students, undergraduates and teachers from Kherson State University, I. I. Mechnikov Odesa National University, Odesa National Maritime University, Ushynsky University, Luhansk National University named after Taras Shevchenko and other institutions. The work of the sections demonstrated the wide geography of the participants and the high scientific level of the presented research.
The conference became a platform for a fruitful exchange of scientific ideas, active discussions and discussion of modern approaches to the analysis of a literary text. The event confirmed the importance of interuniversity and international cooperation in the development of humanities.
