A charity "Cultural Rave" dedicated to Lesya Ukrainka was held in Odesa

On April 28, an unusual artistic event took place in the library of Ushinsky University - a charitable "Cultural Rave", which combined modern culture, literature and social initiative. Among the participants of the event were representatives of the Scientific Society of Students and Young Scientists of the Faculty of History and Philology, headed by Dmytro Novatsky, and together with the students, the atmosphere of this evening was shared by Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian and Foreign Literature Natalia Kerdivar.

The central image of the event was Lesya Ukrainka as a symbol of strength, intelligence and creative rebellion. The organizers rethought her figure through the prism of modernity, emphasizing that the writer created her "cultural rave" in every text, thought and life choice.

The event program combined various artistic formats: from the presentation of a unique all-Ukrainian gallery of paintings created specifically for the project, to stand-up comic performances by the Odesa club "Viriy". The event brought together women from different fields: from military personnel to artists, which created an atmosphere of solidarity and mutual support.

A charity fundraiser for anatomical bulletproof vests for female military personnel was held as part of the event. A total of 24 thousand hryvnias were collected. In addition, two paintings by Lesiapik and Aziza Eskender were sold.

"Cultural Rave" became a vivid example of how contemporary art can not only rethink cultural heritage, but also work to support current social needs.
