On June 4, for postgraduate students of specialties 015 Vocational Education and 011 Educational, Pedagogical Sciences, there was held a guest lecture by Vasyl Kaplinsky, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of Vinnytsia Mykhailo Kotsiubynsky State Pedagogical University on the topic "Pedagogical Case as a Space for Professional Thinking and Making Optimal Decisions".

At the lecture of the well-known scientist, experienced teacher, innovator of higher school pedagogy Vasyl Kaplinsky, postgraduate students learned that the pedagogical case appears as a special space for professional thinking, which combines the analysis of a real or simulated pedagogical situation, the application of theoretical knowledge and the development of practical solutions.

Sharing his experience, the lecturer explained that working with cases activates the teacher's critical thinking, develops argumentation and communication skills, and contributes to the formation of professional reflection, because after making a decision, the participant reflects on his own actions and their effectiveness.

The long-term cooperation of the Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Olha Galitsan and all the teachers of the Department of Pedagogy of Ushynsky University became the foundation for organizing a discussion platform, where professional discourse acquired an innovative and fruitful connotation.

The graduate students realized that cases enable the teacher to make optimal decisions in conditions of uncertainty and multivariateness, forming professional readiness for the complex challenges of educational practice in higher education institutions.

The guest lecture of Professor Vasyl Kaplinsky served as a reflection platform, where the graduate students, together with their scientific supervisors, had the opportunity to share their experience of working in higher education institutions, exchange ideas, and argue their pedagogical position.

The scientific supervisors - Doctors of Pedagogical Sciences, Professors Tetyana Koycheva, Iryna Knyazheva, Oleksiy Lystopad, Viktoriya Balakireva, and Tetyana Osypova - joined the discussion.

The joint work of scientists from different HEIs served as a platform for the exchange of pedagogical experience and modern approaches to organizing the educational space of HEIs.
